Comet Assay

The comet assay is a well-published method for measuring cellular DNA damage. Our Comet Assays provide a fast, convenient way to screen for general DNA damage, regardless of the source. Assays are performed on a glass slide with a proprietary treatment that promotes strong adhesion of agarose.

Assay kits are provided with glass slides in various formats:

  • Standard 75 mm x 25 mm slides with 3 or 10 wells
  • Large-format 127 mm x 102 mm slides with 24, 48 or 96 wells

The wells on our large-format slides mirror the well format of standard 24-well, 48-well and 96-well microplates.
