Adenoviral infection of host cells is mediated largely by the coxsackievirus-adenovirus receptor (CAR). In many cells, however, this receptor is either absent or present at extremely low levels, reducing the efficiency of adenovirus uptake.
ViraDuctin™ Adenovirus Transduction Reagent is designed specifically to increase the efficiency of adenoviral transduction without regard to the level of CAR expression on the surface of the target cells.
