Overview

Purification of viruses via cesium chloride ultracentrifugation procedures can be tedious and time-consuming. ViraBind™ Lentivirus Purification Kits provide a much more efficient system for fast lentiviral purification with high yields.

These kits use a special filter for fast lentiviral purification. The kit has a capacity of up to 2 x 10^8 IFU per prep.

Figure 1: Purification of Pseudotyped GFP Lentivirus using the ViraBind™ Lentivirus Purification Kit. GFP lentiviral supernatant was purified according to the assay protocol. Each fraction obtained during purification, along with its dilution, was used to infect HeLa cells for 48 hours in the presence of Polybrene® (5 µg/mL). GFP positive cells were scored under high magnification fields.
