Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a long-term autoimmune disorder that causes swollen and painful joints. Rheumatoid Factor (RF) is the autoantibody first found in RA. RF is the antibody that reacts against the Fc region of an IgG molecule. RF can exist in various isotypes but is most commonly found as IgM.
Our Human Rheumatoid Factor IgM ELISA Kit is an immunoassay designed for the detection of human RF in plasma, serum, and other biological fluids. Samples are added to an IgG coated plate. The RF binds to the IgG and is the detected with an anti-Human RF antibody, followed by an HRP conjugated secondary antibody.
