A: The proteins retrieved using this kit will be renatured and properly folded, since only correctly folded proteins are able to bind to the glutathione beads.
Q: What is the optimal detergent ratio?
A: Every GST fusion protein will require a different ratio of detergent to properly fold. We recommend first running a small-scale experiment using each of the detergent ratios listed on Table 1 of the product manual to determine the optimal ratio for your protein. Once this is determined, the assay can be scaled up.
