Q: What is the promoter for your premade adenoviruses?

A: All of our Premade Recombinant Adenoviruses use the CMV promoter.

Q: Are your premade adenoviruses replication competent?

A: All of our premade adenoviruses are E1 and E3 deletion mutants of the human Ad5 backbone and are not replication competent.

Q: Can the premade adenoviruses be used in vivo?

A: Our Premade Recombinant Adenoviruses can be used for in vivo studies.  It is recommended to first amplify adenovirus using 293 cells and then purify before in vivo injection.  To purify adenovirus, we recommend using the ViraBind™ Adenovirus Miniprep kit which results in up to 90% virus recovery while removing cellular debris that can interfere with infection.  Adenovirus can also be purified by ultracentrifugation.
