L-Amino Acid Assay Kits

Our L-Amino Acid Assay Kits are simple assays that measures the total amount of all free L-amino acids, with the exception of glycine. L-Amino Acid Oxidase deaminates the L-amino acids into alpha-keto acids plus ammonia and hydrogen peroxide. The hydrogen peroxide is then detected with either a colorimetric or fluorometric probe. L-amino acid levels in an unknown sample are calculated based on a known L-Alanine standard curve.
