Flavonoids are an array of polyphenolic compounds that have been shown to be involved in a number of pharmacological reactions. More than 5000 naturally occurring flavonoids have been discovered in various plants and may exhibit antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and/or antiviral capabilities.
Our OxiSelect™ Flavonoid Assay Kit is a quantitative assay for the measurement of flavonoid content within various samples. It may be used to assess purified flavonoids as well as mixtures. The assay uses Quercetin, a ubiquitous flavonoid found in the flavonol subclass, as a standard. Each kit provides sufficient reagents for up to 200 assays, including standards and unknown samples.
